My late stepfather suffered from Acute Myeloid Leukemia and was fortunate enough to receive a stem cell donation (in the form of a bone marrow transplant) through MATCHIS. After receiving the transplant he went into remission for a few months. While he is unfortunately no longer with us the transplant bought him valuable extra time to spend with his loved ones. I think MATCHIS is a great cause - you never know when whose life you might end up saving!
